Inspired by the countryside of Adderstone in Northumberland, England.
Sculpture:
a serpent winds itself round a pillar; made entirely from a single block
of wood.
This particular harp was made for Sean Barry, composer and harpist in
Alnwick, Northumberland. Sean Barry was awarded first prize five times
over at the `English and Scottish Music Championship´, and he is a member
of the northern-England folk group `Ushna´

Sculpture: swan´s head made of maple-wood and beak of cherry-wood; inlay work made of ebony-wood; eyes made of citrine crystals; neck of harp in the shape of a wing with chip-carved plume and gold-plated upper edge with spiral; relief carving at the foot of the pillar; pins made of ebony with mother-of-pearl eyes; to the left and right of the resonance box - wings as inlay work made of silver-coloured maple-wood with incorporated sound holes. Neck and column made of massive maple-wood.

of the year 2001.
